Commercial Telephone Technician

Centritech Communications is looking for talented field technicians to join the Centritech team in your area! Centritech is growing even as other companies are laying off personnel, and continues to be an innovative force in the industry.

This is a part time position, and can be an excellent supplement if you are currently contracting independently.

We need techs qualified in one or more the following areas:
* Installation and troublshooting of commercial phone systems.
* Network infrastructure such as routers, switches, dsu/csu, modems, etc
* Structured Cabling (cat5e, cat6, coax)
* Installation and break/fix for retail POS systems
* Installation of commercial VOIP phone systems
* trouble shooting of PC's and small networks

A Centritech Field Technician, must possess a strong background in phone system troubleshooting, network installation and computer repair.

Centritech Field Technicians routinely perform such tasks as identification, installation, wiring and troubleshooting of Network Interface Devices, Telephony Demarcation Interfaces, Station Blocks, Trunk and Line Blocks, Station Jacks, CSU/DSU devices, POS workstations, PCs, printers and outlets. Centritech Field Technicians are required to possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation. You will also have 24/7 access to an extensive support network. Centritech Field Technicians are required to own or possess the following tools and items:

* Test Phone (a/k/a butte set)
* Punch Down Tool (66 and 110)
* Tone Generator and Tester
* RJ11 and RJ45 Crimper
* Laptop Computer -- (Mobile Internet Access Air Card or Equivalent is helpful)
* Digital Camera or High Resolution CameraPhone
* Mobile Phone with unlimited voice and SMS (Text Messaging) Support
* Label Maker
* Cat5 Cable Tester (such as LANRover)
* 6 Foot Ladder
* Standard Hand Tools (Screwdrivers, Drill, Bits, etc.)
* Wire Stripping Tools
When Centritech Field Technicians are required to travel in excess of 50 miles from home, travel compensation is provided.

Many of our service requests are obtained through a competive bid process. As a result, Centritech assignments pay between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour. Emergency calls earn the higher compensation.
