WHAT:Scholars Forum IV: "A Tale of Two Cities:Baltimore"

Despite gains in urban renewal and an influx of higher income residents, Baltimore’s neighborhoods remain sharply divided between those have enjoyed urban renewal and an influx of higher income residents and those that have continued to be mired in crime, poverty and failing schools.

The panel will be moderated by Renaissance Institute member Greg Halpin, former director of the Port of Baltimore, and include: Bob Embry of the Abell Foundation; Marion Pines, senior distinguished fellow of the Johns Hopkins University Institute of Policy; and Bishop Douglas Miles, bishop of Koinonia Baptist Church and co-chair of B.U.I.L.D (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development).
