Thank you very much. i am inspired again to just dive back into it...! i loved your class..., and i find it a challenge that i found myself a bit scared, like the first day of school or something, even though i had trained and been through the process and act for a few years.... so i want to go about it differently and not be afraid. embracing the character... all that jazz.
Jared Salim
“There is a very old saying: "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” John Pallotta appeared in my life when I was ready to become a serious actor. In March of 2006, at the age of 64, I began my acting career as a background actor in movies & TV. I registered with some agents who got me work. I began having fun on the sets, and making friends. About a year later I took my wife to see Phantom of the Opera, and realized I wanted to do live theater, without a clue as to how to even begin. A few weeks later, one of my agents told me via e-mail that a person named John Pallotta was offering a free acting class to her people. I went to that first class & liked the gentle way John taught, and the insights he had from being an actor & a playwright. I continued to attend John's classes every Sunday when I wasn't booked on a paying job. John helped me create and improve my monologues, of which I had none when I started his classes. Today, I was asked to audition for an understudy role in a play. I got the role! This would not, could not have happened if not for my working with John.”
Bill Rapp
I'm happy to work with John Pallotta. He has shown me the difference between an actor and someone who just wants to be on TV. He has taught me to focus on not just getting the emotion of the character, but learning to get to the point of what caused those emotions. He makes you look deep within yourself and capture that authenticity of a true performer.
Libnen Delente
“After I finish up with the production I'm in now...I will be back to take full advantage of your free acting workshop...Thanks so much!”
Jamaal Morgan
“When I came to New York I want to take classes. I could not afford the high price of classes!!! What a wonderful thing to offer actors- FREE/Donation training? And… By a wonderful, caring professional in the business. Unbelievable!”
Michelle Triply
“It is an honor for me, to work with such a talented actor and playwright as Mr. Pallotta. Thank you… Thank you… Thank you and thank you!”
Sarah Francois
“I would recommend John Pallotta’s class to anyone seeking a life in the theatre and acting. The classes that he teaches give me what I need to get out there in the acting world. My experiences in his classes have given me the enormous courage to just go forward, and his words and thoughts are invaluable.”
Connie Sulliere
John is a kind person and straight forward. When you first speak to him, he speaks to you as if you have known him for years. He has a sentimental heart for all us struggling actors, and he provides and great classes for actor who want to learn. I have only been to one class, and you can believe me that I will be back for more!
S. Mcclanahan
“I have had several acting teachers and I am still new to the business. None of them taught me how to just be onstage. And to be me! “
Susanne Alegiero
“It is great to be taught by an actual living breathing playwright and your classes have really given me the confidence to go out there and audition and be willing to ‘expose’ myself. You have been kind, gentle… And a real cocky bastard at times (in a professional way). I know I won't get a part every time I audition, but I do plan to stick with acting because it is something I truly love.
