About the Position:
Philadelphia Proprietary Trading Group is now recruiting exceptional individuals to join our equity training program in our newly launched Center City, Philadelphia trading floor. We are seeking talented candidates from varied backgrounds who have exhibited strong leadership skills, academic achievement, and self-motivation.
New traders have the opportunity to leverage one-on-one mentoring, proven trading strategies and techniques, cutting edge software, and a hands-on management team with over 25 years of trading experience as each trader builds his or her business.
At the completion of our training program, traders will immediately be allocated a portion of the firm's capital to begin their career as a trader. Performance-based increases in capital allocations are made if a trader exhibits consistent profitability and growth.
Requirements:
Although experience in trading is not necessary, the ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of financial markets in general, and trading in particular, and should possess the focus and determination to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Familiarity with proprietary trading strategies, high frequency trading, and specific financial instruments is beneficial.
Eligible candidates will have strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and must be able to demonstrate intelligence, competitiveness, and focus. As traders will be expected to analyze, model, and develop trading strategies, applicants should have a strong knowledge of Excel, with an emphasis on research, back-testing, optimization and execution.
FINRA and SEC rules mandate that proprietary traders be properly licensed prior to trading.
